Pop culture digression
As you might imagine, the content is a little thin in the October Elle -- the high point is an article about the crazy couture shop in S�o Paulo that Rebecca Mead wrote about in the New Yorker six months ago. The most arresting thing, aside from a certain food item, was the Marc Jacobs ad featuring Kim Gordon and Thurston Moore with their kids. Dude, they look old. The kids, I mean (Coco and Louise, I believe they are called) -- they appear to be at least "tweens" (I don't know, they all look the same to me). Unpleasant reminder of your own mortality #500. Kim and Thurston are, of course, ageless. Update: not ageless.
