The douchebag comparison flatters Shaughnessy. A douchebag keeps you feeling fresh all day long. A douchebag does not start crapping on the carpet in bewilderment after an unexpected Series win knocks the foundation out from under a cottage industry of curse-related tubtumping. It's the same pathetic quest for larger relevance that dogged Cosell. Send the curly-haired boyfriend to the Sunni Triangle, and see what scoops he digs up there.
