Among the various amusing and/or inexplicable errors in this Times article on the Archimedes palimpsest is at least one useful piece of information: a link to the project's website, where you can read accurate information about the MS, as well as an interesting discussion of the various imaging techniques they are using.

And if, for some reason, you are interested in the theft of antiquities, do not miss Nigel Wilson's sordid tale of the false Evangelists and French incompetents that have tormented the book in recent years.

Addendum: It is probably tautological to add that those of you interested in this kind of Rezeptionsgeschichte should read Scribes and Scholars by Wilson and R. D. Reynolds, since any interest in Rezeptionsgeschichte is undoubtedly a result of reading this book.
